Who will drill a tank

I'm looking at a 120 gal tank and would like to have it drilled. Does anyone know where I can have that done around Indy. Thank, Doug

It really isn't that hard. I've done around 5 tanks and 2 unsuccessfully. The 2 that broke were 10G which have very thin glass and that makes it very difficult. Buy yourself a cheap diamond bit on ebay and grab a drill. You can either build a dam to hold water or keep a hose running on the bit. It really isn't that hard.

I guess I should have said the holes were for bulkhead fittings for an overflow. So what your saying is I would need a diamond tipped hole saw and then flush with water. Thanks but I think I would still rather take it to someone that does it all the time and has the equipment. I'm sure there is probably a certain speed for the saw that works the best also.

yea just take it slow, took me about 5-10 minutes to drill a single 1 3/4" hole in a 20high. If you do a search you'll find a few DIYs with pictures and more exact directions. I can understand when its a 120 and not a $50 20high

I agree, I think doing it yourself is the best way to go if you're a little handy,. If not, check with Carmel Glass & Mirror. Just let them know up front that you completely understand they are not responsible for breakage / damage, etc.

You can also check out www.glass-holes.com for diamond bits. A couple of people from the local club have ordered from this site and have been happy with the product. I believe their site also has video of how to drill.
