It looks like some kind of fire cracker coral. Dont know for sure though.

they look like sun corals!
look in the Non-Photosynthetic Corals section of the coral threads.
compare it to sun corals in that thread and you can also post there to see what they say.

there are some suncorals in the forsell forum that you can look at what they look like. they open up during the night and when the smell food. take a dropper and drop some frozen food around it. if it open up then chances are its a suncoral.

i have some!!

and they need to be fed or they will die. they dont thrive off of what is in the tank like most corals. (just a little FYI)

And sites sell them for 30-50$ a polyp if im not mistaken, so you have a good 300$ sitting there..

wow where do you buy your suncorals...a rock with that many sun coral polyps would only cost about 40 or 50 tops..i think your thinkin about like firecracker corals or somethin like that

In fact,i saw them not in a tank. at outside.
and they are smaller than you think it is
