I was wondering if anyone had any idea on the structural stability of the standard glasscages.com wood stands. I have one for my 135 gallon reef tank, and have been thinking about adding a DSB. This means I would be adding 200+ lbs. of sand. Could the stand support this?
Thanks

Should. The one I got from them for my 155 seems pretty stout.
Not to mention they are designed for reef tanks which ussually have a lot of sand and rock in them.

I put some extra support under mine.

i am not sure about their stands i ordered a 240 gallon starfire tank from them and built my stand and canopy but the tank is built like a tank and if there stands are anything like their tanks then you will be fine.

My stand is pretty sturdy, certainly stronger than a regular aquarium stand. Been up for more than a year without any issues. I left the back closed execpt for wiring, since I don't have any plumbing under the stand. I wish I had ordered a couple extra doors, they only put in one in the front.

Certainly strong, do not like the doors.
Optted and had nice custom made stands and went with someone who could actually bevel an edge:)
Dang nasty edge work from them.
I bought 4 tanks, 2 x 60 Cubes, 120, and 180 all with starfire + stands.
I'm having Lemar make my new tanks and going with a local cab maker for the stands.
I have rimless tanks, so the look is important for me on the edge work.
