I do weekly water changes about 30% should that keep my Mag. in check?
I have ever tested for it.

The new Instant Ocean is fine. I wouldn't worry much, but maybe a LFS would run a test for you. It wouldn't hurt to check. If there's no sign of excessive calcium carbonate on heaters or in pumps, the tank probably is okay.

Weekly 30% is quite large. I'm not saying anything is wrong with it, but why have you elected such a large amount?

I just do a 35 gal. garbage can. The tank is a 125g
I just figured it was good.
