This tank has been running for 2 years now. Its fair to say that its only 15 months tho cause I had a crash 8 mo in. I lost 80% of my livestock at that point. I know its taboo to have a tang in a tank of this size but it is what it is. The tang and the clown are inseperable as you can kind of see in the video. And the clown and BTA are as well. So to remove one of them is to remove all three in fairness. The tang will have to go eventually, and the nem is getting a bit big for my coral stock so a change is probably on the horizon.

The first to pics are a recent addition of a neat little lobo. He was a colorless rescue and hes starting to look really healthy.

This pic is the lobo under my "nightlights"

Nice tank jbird! Let's see a full tank shot.

Do you have any progression photos? I'm also interested in how large your SPS colonies were when you added them.

I have pictures scattered all over 3 computers and a whole bunch on photobucket.

Heres the best time contrast I can provide right now. This first pic was a FTS from a year ago.

Heres a pre-crash photo. Too much, too fast, inadequate filtration and lighting combined with a 2 week vacation at the beginning of a cyano outbreak... Came home to a tank that was red and dead.

it still looks over stocked for a 50....

I see a small/medium regal tang, and three other relatively small fish... the only questionable fish is the tang... to each his own.

I am manually dosing BRS 2 part. 100ml/day of each. I keep a dkh of 10 and Ca 420. Mg @1450

it still looks over stocked for a 50....

I cant argue :fun4: I have much better control of the system now. And my water is quite pristine. I only ever test alk, ca, mg and sg. I run GFO and GAC in media bags in my sump. As I get better control of my water chemistry, my chaeto has really slowed down. I skim very wet.

Thanks again everyone!

I actually have 5 fish.

maroon clown
royal gramma
two evil damsels
hippo tang
cleaner shrimp.

My cleanup crew is very small maybe 8-10 sanils and 8-10 hermits, Theres just not enought food for more. Ive tried more and they whittle down to this many.

They will run on electronic ballasts. Mine is running on an old reefanatic eballast. Gallaxy ballasts are said to be the perfect marriage with radiums.
