Good luck with my Linckia so far, mine is orange. Should be put into an established tank though.

I really like the serpant stars - They are available in a multitude of patterns, as well as bright red, and will not harm anything in the tank. They are very good scavengers, and become very active at feeding time cleaning up what is missed by the fish. Brittle stars (except green) are another good choice

Linckia Multiflora have done much better for me than Linckia Laevigata.

The multiflora stay a little smaller than the more common laevigata, but they are much easier to keep IME.

I've found them at Blue Zoo Aquatics, and rarely at Pacific East Aquaculture.

Multifora are the one species to have been known to regenerate lost limbs in captivity so I think they're probably one of the best star fish to keep.

i had a green brittle and a serpent star both in a 60 gallon...never bothered anything...emerald crab didnt like the brittle star though...aslong as you keep them feed regularly than they shouldnt bother your smaller slower fish if you have any...although when my brittle started dying the serpent attacked it cuz it is a scavenger...so once it started dying the serpent jumped on it lol...but yes i would say they are great reef stars...along with sand sifting stars and linkias...and if you wanna get somethin more exotic...get a feather starfish...wow they are crazy and awesome..i had one..but was ill informed on how to take care of it...dyed within 2 months...but if you can keep one...wow you will be happy with the choice
