Hello! I've had the sneaking suspicion for a while now that i'm not getting the most out of my skimmer. Can you watch this video of it to tell me what i'm doing wrong?
My bioload is light to medium, with 7 fish and less than 30 inverts in my system.
I'm supposed to be getting dark skimmate and huge crazy bubbles light I see all the time with other peoples' skimmers. Specifically, aren't the bubbles supposed to be bigger and flowing out of the neck? They rarely do for me.
Thank u :bounce3:

It looks fine to me. I have the extension pipe on my discharge and it's under water. I just don't like the sound of water pouring out the discharge. How long have you had the skimmer?

Looks good to me. I would get rid of the stock hose that connects the silencer to the pump and replace it with something more rigid. That hose is real flimsy and can obstruct the air flow if it gets kinked.

It looks OK, it looks just like my DAS EX1. I know exactly what you are talking about though. It has real tiny bubbles just like my skimmer. I always see videos, and pictures of collection cups filled with brown bubbles and even bubbles coming out the vent holes up top. My skimmer has never even come close to doing any of that. I don't know why, I am going to be getting something better pretty soon. Hopefully it will be a big improvement.

Do you think it has anything to do with bioload? Maybe there's not enough fish poop in the water to make my skimmer go crazy?
the frustrating thing is i've seen other MSX skimmers with much darker skimmate and FILLED with huge bubbles all throughout the collection cup. I'd like to have my skimmer do this, as it's a great sign it's skimming efficiently.
Anyone else have any tips on how to tweak this?
