auto top off is allways the first thing to buy to make this hobby easier if you dont have one.

Dosing pump or two to dose 2 part solution would be good (BRS sells a good one) or a PH Monitor like the Pinpoint would be great if you don't have one already. I always enjoy gift cards to my LFS so I can pick out new fish or coral.

Profilux doser with 3 pumps. You can dose 2 part solution, as well as vodka.

Or a Tunze wavebox. I love mine.

I just ordered the dual reactor from brs to run HC GFO and Carbon with maxijet 1200 pump.
I couldn't wait till xmas. ;)

Reefkeeper Lite is another idea. Love mine.
I agree with ATO, but that's not as fun and it's pretty cheap anyway. Just get one, you'll be glad you did.

You said you don't have reactors... is that a hint that you WANT some? A reefkeeper, Aquacontroller, or Apex are always nice little additions too. True you may not have much to automate now, but getting graphs of your params and having that expandability is also pretty nice.

I like the camera idea. But based on the setup you described I'd get a controller, controlable pump or nice ATO.

Apex Controller.

Watching over the tank is soooooo much easier with this thing installed.

for sure..

i'm in a storm prone (power outage prone) area so i might opt for a gas powered generator...

Hmm, like the reefkeeper. Reactors would be good. How about a refugium?
How does the ato work?
Thanks santa

1. ATO
2. Controller (I have an AquaController Jr and it's cheap and does what I want)
3. Tunze controllable pumps
4. AquaSurf to control Tunze Controllable pumps (if you already have #2)

At least that's how I did it :)
