I have relatively new MP40 and the wet side just started falling off.

The glass thickness is set correctly and I am currently soaking the wet side in vinegar. There are no visible signs of friction or calcium build up.

Is this an indicator of a larger problem?

Does the wetside spin freely? When was the pump purchased?

I bought it in August.

Wet side is spinning freely.

I will put it back together in the morning and inspect it more thoroughly.

We've had a very frustrating issue with bearings that popped up during spring, it's possible your pump is having this problem. If the problem persists, just get in touch with us via phone and we'll get you taken care of.

Everything appears to be working fine. Seems weird though. There was barely any calcium build up on the pump at all.

Regardless, there have no falling incidents in two days. :beachbum:

Call Marine tech they will take care of you.
I was having the same issue.
everytime it would fall it would bust a coral.
it ended up being the ceramic bearing.
I guess they had a couple (well more then a couple) go out with to tight of a talerence.
call them and give them your S/N they will hook you up.
I couldn't wait so agenst their advice I took my dremmal and opened up the talerence a little.
that worked for the week or so it took them to get me the new parts.
