WOAH! huge limpet explosion!!

what would cause this? well im not sure they are limpets, they are completely flat except a little patruding middle line that goes through the whole shell.. i see these things on the rocks at mexico and they are huge and i got like thousand little babies all over my tank, its actually pretty cool, mind telling me what they are, and why the all of a sudden are everywhere in my tank?

Try chitons and are you sure they are not flatworms?

If they are limpets than they are safe for the tank but the way you describe them doesn't sound like limpets. can you get a decent picture of them?

ahh they are chitons, and a LOT of them, not flat worms because they have a hard shell, 99.999% posotive they are chitons, thx
