i just upgraded to two 400 watt mh from 2 250. i decreased my timing by 3 hrs. i added two layers of a fine screen and my corals are so insanely bleached right now. what else can i do? it has been almost a week and half now and i feel that if i change anything now that might cause more of a problem. i would be devastated if i lost any of my corals. please just give me some advice or just moral support saying everything will be ok.

How far from the top of the water are your lights? I'd start by raising them if possible. Two pieces of screen aren't enough. Going from 250s to 400s, you should have done 5-6 layers.

well i was using a light meter and the lux is just a little higher than the 250s. i did move them up about 3". adding more screen at this point should not be a problem should it? it is black screening and it actually seems to block a lot to me, but obviously not enough. raising them higher is not really an option they are fixed in the hood and the hood probably weighs around 100 lbs. should i decrease the timing more?

they are probably about 6" off of the water
