I'm almost positive this would work in a 28 gallon with no aggressive fish, but wanted to see what the reefcentral community thinks. It would only be one helfrichi and one yasha. My yasha currently sits in his burrow with his pistol for most of the day.
Thanks!

I've read about firefish actually sharing a shrimp goby's burrow. No experience though.

my firefish shares a burrow with a hi fin goby, and has previously shared a burrow of a yellow watchman goby. i have pics ... will get them up
i had the two in a ten gallon - there were no problems at all - they pretty much totally ignored each other. helfrichi slept in the rocks, yasha slept in the burrow with his pistol shrimp. have seen pics of shrimp gobies sharing their burrows with dartfish, but mine never did that - would have been awesome if they did.

i kept a pair of helfrichis and a pair of yasha hazis in a 26 gal. with no issues. was sweet when all 4 were out at the same time (except when i thought how much i spent on them!)

this is from my old tank, i dont have either fish anymore.
but i do have a different firefish, and a hi fin goby, but it seems today the hi fin has had an "affair" and has been kicked out by the firefish. no fighting lol, the hi fin just moved homes
