Hey guys, I just went and bought about 150lb of live rocks for about 250$. They all have some sort of coraline algae on them so I know they're still live rock, problem is the tank for those rock won't be ready for about a 6 weeks. I have most of them in buckets and some wet newspaper on top. Any other trick I can keep them going for a few weeks? Thanks.

Use a large rubbermaid tote, or something similar. Put them in it, cover them with saltwater and add a powerhead. If needed, add a heater as well.

Should I replace the saltwater from time to time or should i just top off like my fish tank.

+1. Heater and powerhead will keep it just fine for quite a while. If it's going to be a long time (like the 6 weeks), just keep an eye on the salinity from time to time if you're worried about top-off vs. saltwater replenishment.

You can just top off, but I would keep a powerhead in there as said before. Assuming there wasn't a bunch of die-off your water should remain clear. if it does discolor and smell you should change teh water out.

Light will help keep the coraline alive.

I would add a heater along with the powerhead. I agree that some light would help with the coralline.
