Erick,
Your sump looks fine, plenty of space there. T5's are good lighting, the advantage to them is that you can put more of those in a small space than say VHO's. Of course, the more bulbs you run, the more $ you spend! I run VHO's on my 55, and they do a good job. I have one actinic(blue)bulb, and one daylight bulb. You mentioned reefing on a budget--most of us are. The advantage to VHO's is that with only 2 bulbs to replace, the cost is lower--about 50 bucks every 9-10 months. I had a Current Power Compact fixture on a 125 reef, and those bulbs cost about $40.00 apiece, and there were 4 of em!

I really think you should look at VHO's, and if you go that route get one actinic blue, and one 50/50 actinic white.

Good luck with your tank, and remember the 2 main rules of reefing.
1)Patience, patience, patience
2)Don't forget rule #1

I had four VHO's on my 55 gallon, just have to be careful on heat issues, they will warm up your water. The benifeit from them is they don't need a reflector because they have internal reflector. Also, you are somewhat limited on wht you can grow.

That's an Odysea fixture, do a search on here and then decide.

nice sump, id remove the cover though, better for gas exchange and will help the ph a little to be stable, also its something else you wont have to clean :)
