Been reading all the threads on mb7 and vodka dosing, I think I'm going to take the plunge and give it a try.
tank has been up and running for about 9 months
75 gallon tank, 60 gallon net
dsb and live rock
ph; 8.0
alk; 130 ppm
cal; 400
nitrates 2.5 to 5 hard to tell with the color chart but in that range
don't have a phosphate test yet would like to get a hanna for christmas,

I have a ATB multi skimmer, is this enough skimmer for this tank when I start my journey? you can see a little bit of the algae I'm starting to have problems with on the very top rock in about the center of the picture

The ATB multi is a great skimmer but for your application I feel its at the upper limits for its capacity on your system. The 840 with the small pinwheel may be a better choice.
