Right now I'm working on the layout of a sump for my 28g. Because of the stand design the sump can only be 9"x19" and I want to have a place for a chaeto ball and a skimmer so there's not a whole lot of room. The skimmer will probably take up the most space so I need to figure that out before I can continue with the design. Any suggestions?

H&S 90 f1000 has a foot print of 4.25 x 10.25. I've used amny H&S skimmers and all have been great. This model should be no different.

Tunze and Sapphire Aquatics make small skimmers for tanks that size.

I was looking at that one, it looks pretty much perfect. I'm interested to here how it works. It's right in my budget too. Do you happen to know how deep the water needs to be for it?
