I used a PM1 with a mag 12. It was a good skimmer, I just think it could be way better IF I had a larger pump running it, I plumbed it a little differently and I was running a gate valve instead of the elbows.
With my 180 I am going to use a SRO 5000 with a bubble blaster. If I had to do my 72 over I would probaly go with a needle wheel skimmer. The becket injector on the PM seemed to get plugged up with snail shells etc etc. ( I didnt have room to run a prefilter)

try the Bubble-Magus NAC-6 from Cadlights.com. am looking to get that to replace my Coralife needle wheel.

I like my Euro-reef RS 80. I am a week in and loving it. They have some new skimmers out at a lower price point now too.

if you have the cash and the space the red sea sea skim is awesome. it is a monster both in size and preformance
