please educate me how to keep water in good condition beside parameter such as (ph,salinity,temp,orp.....etc.), what kind zooplankton, lava or any chemical or foods.... etc. and doses.My tank is 120g display and sump 40g, 80% reef 20% fish.

As far as additives, don't add what you don't test. IMO it is all junk aside from ca, alk. Food, well, depends on what you are keeping. Also want to keep your ammonia, nitrate, nitrite levels low. I would browse around the chemistry forum and see what you can learn.:bigeyes:

Sounds like good advice and scheduled water changes will replinish other trace elemnts to keep the water in good condition.

don't forget the magnesium!. +1 on don't dose what you are not testing

I agree that calcium and alkalinity are the basics.

Feeding depends on what's in the tank, but a good frozen food like Formula 1 or 2 covers a fairly wide range of fish.
