Is there an easy way to find out which firmware my MP40W is currently running? I bought it in August 2008 and have never updated it.

If you have a "pink mode" then you have the newest firmware.

Ok, so I have the old firmware. Whats the easiest way to upgrade if I cant find a local reefer or LFS with updated firmware? It's the main source of flow in my tank, so I'd rather not have to ship it back.

The only way would be to find a local aquarist that has a pump on hand, ship it back, or find an LFS. There aren't really any other options.
