Anyone know when the PM2 expansion module will be available? (temp/salinity)

It is now on the Neptune website and says Q4 2009, but you can't order it or pre-order it yet. Hopefully, you can soon.

Only about 2 weeks or so left in the Q4 2009. Any news yet about the PM2?

I have a question for those that use or have used conductivity probes. Are they really all that useful? Does the salinity vary that much in your tank?

They are good depending on what type of automation you do. For example; I have a continuous water change system and auto top-off so it is beneficial to monitor conductivity as it can tell me quickly if either system is not functioning correctly, sending incorrect amounts of fresh (or salt) water into my system. Yes, if they are only slightly out of wack then I will catch it without the probe but as I travel during the winter I might be gone a week and in a week a rampant top-off or water change system could really change salinity.
If your top-off is limited to the amount of water it can add in a set period and you don't have 'other' systems that could affect the salinity then it's more a nice-to-have vs a must-have IMO.

I have found that I need to clean the conductivity probe every month or so or it gets a film buildup that throws off the reading. Nice feature other than that although I have upgraded to the APEX and the module needed to add this feature is not released just yet.
Cheers,
