Running an H2 for over a year now and love. Hands down, the nicest HOB I've ever used.

I just got my H2 a week ago so it is still breaking in. So far though its the best HOB I have ever used. I replaced a Remora with it and there is no comparison.

The H2 is only rated up to 80g. I am not sure it would enough for a 120g. The Bermuda Rouge is rated for a 150g and the Deltec MCE600 100g-180. Just giving you other options.

Which would be best for a 34 gallon Solana, the H1 or H2?

I am running the H2 on a 38g.

I emailed warner marine about putting one on a solana and they said the H1 would be PLENTY for it.

one member on here has a remora pro hob on a 150gallon and tanks looks beautiful and i've read everywhere that h2 outskims remora pro, so should be good for a 120g with low bioload :reading::reading:

Your gonna do what your gonna do but I just got rid of a Remora. Do a little research before you buy. Most people like to at least double the capacity of the skimmer to the tank. You will be sorely disappointed if you under size your skimmer.

Loved the h1, ran it on a 6 gallon. Amazing skimming power. I would recommend this HOB over all others.

When I e-mailed Warner about my 38g, they told me if it was going to heavily stocked to go with the H2. Look at k.tran, he loved the H1 but he ran it on a 6g. Get the H2..

No really.. The H2 is a great skimmer but look at your other options. The problem with HOB Skimmer is that they arent nearly as good as in Sump Skimmers. So, you have to make sure you get one that can handle the gallons. I think in the long run you might be saying..oh my g** I just spend X$ and it not doing the job. Probably 90% of reefer have done it including me. If you get a skimmer that is rated bigger than your tank, it gives you the option to use it if you upgrade.

When I emailed them two days ago about my sps dominated barebottom solana with 5 fish they told me that the H1 would be plenty.

any new opinions on the H2, or something else for a 75g. The H2 looks nice & is Mojo recommended.

I had a H2 and it was great. I have had both the Warner and the Octopus BH-800S and both were great for HOB skimmers.

Had, why had? Was there a reason for getting rid of them?

The WM H1 v.2 will take apart a remora pro and deltec mce 300. The WM H2 v.2 will take apart the deltec mce600 too. The h1 is rated for a 40g sps tank and the H2 for an 80. Warner Marine uses true stats, not bloated info for hype and sales.

The H2 is in the same performance range as the Octopus SRO-1000LX(cone version) in performance. These two are probably the best performing HOB skimmers in the world right now. Deltec makes good skimmers, but the h1,h2, and the lx-1000 skimmers are just different beasts all together.

I have own/owned all the skimmers mentioned in this thread...

Here is a pic of a days skimmate from a H2 v.2 on a light bioload....Enjoy!

I haven't used a H1 but from seeing the demo unit, it seem really well built like the rest of his skimmers.

Yeah, they are. That K2 you have is an awesome skimmer. The stable foam head reminds me of BK and reeflo skimmers.

How well do these skimmers fit on a Solana. Can someone post pictures please? Also, With a HOB skimmer like this is it still possible to put a fuge light on the 1st or 2nd chamber from behind the tank? Thanks
