Hey all,

Just noticed a small tubular clearish white thing attached near the eye of my multicolor angel. Not really familiar with parasites or diseases of fish, does this sound like anchorworm? It just appeared out of nowhere, I havent added anything new to the tank for quite a while. If it is, how should I treat?

Its hard enough to get a picture of the angel, especially of something this small...

be ready to get some small tweezers and a steady hand you have to pull them out manually.

Thanks Don

Sound like an anchor worm but google search for anchor worm and look at some pictures first. Like 1904 said, you will most likely have to pull it but be carefull because the damaged skin underneath can become infected.

I looked on google and couldnt find any good pictures, particularly on marine fish.

I left for a week and whatever it is, it's no longer on the fish. What would a fluke look like?
