MSX200 Help

Im needing help with my MSX200, I just bought it from a fellow reefer on here and it has the pinwheel installed, I am wanting to install the mesh wheel, I can get the pump completely apart and have the impeller in my hand, Im wondering how to get the pin wheel off the magnet and put the mesh wheel on. Any help would be appreciated, I tried doing a search in the forums for MSX but came back with nothing.

Im also wondering which way people are running these pumps to perform the best? should it be ran on its side or straight up and down?

On it's side with the shaft horizontal. And I would skip the mesh personally. I like set and forget. All I do is clean my pump / wheel every 6 months or so and that is it! Just skims away.

I run mine upside down with the inlet at the top.

I got it on its side and the mesh wheel in, I had to take it out and trim the outside of the mesh it was making a lot of noise but is silent now.
