Hi,

I've have read in a previous posting that it is possible to convert a Mag 3 into a Mag 5 if you change the front cover of the pump since both pumps use the same impeller.
My question is, wouldn't the conversion depend on the main magnet itself?
Mag 3 is 35watt/ 0.6 amp and Mag 5 is 45watt / 0.8 amp.

Thanks

You could make the conversion with a drill bit or dremel if you want. The reason the mag5 uses more power is it pumps more water. More work = more power to do it. The actual flow difference between the 3 and 5 is not all that much in real world use.

That sounds do-able. I would like to see how this turns out for you.
