Hello,

I just bought a multi without a pump. The OR 2500 tends to be a bit pricey. Is there any other pump that will work ? What would be the max gph for this skimmer ?

Thank you,
Marian

do a search for a G500, really is a rio250, not sure who makes it but it works great and cheaper

The multi uses a OR 1700. You can usually find them for a little over $70

Thank you guys and Happy Thanksgiving !

Is G500 a 500 gph pump ?
Today I drive the skimmer with a Aquamed 1200 which I assume is an 1200 l or about 300 gph. I can collect about 1/2" to 3/4" in one day starting with a clean collection cup.

cheers,
Marian

Scope it out. The Aqua medic turboflotor multi uses the Ocean Runner 1700 pump. I wouldn't try another pump because the OR1700 is tuned perfectly to that skimmer. The needle wheel automatically puts the perfect amount of air into the skimmer, no adjustments needed unlike most skimmers. I own it, it works, wouldn't try a cheaper pump unless you want to risk performance.

That's what's up,
Trey
