Any one keeping this mix in their tank. I'm want to buy Pair of Ocellaris and I already got 3 y/o maroon in my 120g. Do you think They will get in trouble?

I honestly think it will be a problem. The guy at my lfs had to pull his female maroon out of a 300 because of agression issues. She was a big girl though

I think the maroon will definetly attack the new clowns. I think it'd be one or the other, but that's JMO. Maroons are the most aggrssive of the clowns, especially when they're that big.

buy one, keep it in the bag, let it float and if your maroon attacks right away, take it back to the store and say your wife screamed at you and you wernt allowed to have the fish!!

I have a maroon slightly bigger and a pair of black onyx in a 330, I introduced them all to the tank within a matter of days and at first the maroon tested them a bit but being that there were two of them they managed to hold their ground and all seem to be doing pretty well, its been about two months now. I will say at first it was a little exciting and my wife did freak but couldn't catch the maroon to get him out, maybe he sensed what was coming and decided to play nice?

I had a maroon pair and a pair of black ocellaris in a 90 gallon tank. The female maroon chased one of the black ocellaris to jump out of the tank and on to the floor.

Mixing maroons and other clowns is a bad idea.

maroons are too mean and aggressive for false percs or true perks. i would go with clarkiis or skumks i have had three pairs one of each inthe same tank in the past. they bicker but never violent.
