My CO2 tank that runs my calcium reactor just ran out. A buddy of mine has a tank that was filled to be used to pressurize a beer keg. It says it has nitrogen as well as CO2. can this be used on my reactor? Guessing it can but I would think Ill need to increase the rate of gas. Any one know about what percentage of nitrogen they use for beverage applications??

For the cost of refilling the CO2 tank, I wouldn't risk my system doing this. In theory your idea could work, but I have no idea what this might do to the nitrogen levels in the tank.

You will get Nitrogen gas bubble disease in your fish is what will happen.

You'll likely get a LOT of N2 gas buildup inside the reactor unless it is designed to prevent that.

Sounds like not worth taking a chance. I'll get my tank filled tomorrow. Thank for the help everyone.
