Any triggers you would keep in your SPS or mixed reef tank?

The Blue Throat Trigger can be kept in a reef, but personally I wouldn't put any trigger in with precious, delicate SPS.

What about a pink tail? Any experiences?

I have a few friends that keep pink tails, and they haven't bothered any coral, SPS included.

Sorry for not including any details in my first post. I just purchased a pink tail, and that thing is fast! Holy crap. So far so good. My powder brown tang was trying to push him around when he was first introduced, but the trigger kind of ignored the PBrT and acted like he was the king already. Today is the second day, and I will say he must have been the one to know over one of my frags since he is so fast. Other than that, he is very personable but kind of scared of me still. If I stay in front of the tank for a while he comes out and performs a little dance. It is kind of awesome. :D Still a little scared for my stuff, but my LPS (my main worry) are looking ok.

I too maintained a Crosshatch that didn't seem to bother my snails or my corals, 'sps' or 'lps'. It did develop an occasional habit of eating some of its tankmates however so eventually I had to remove it.

My opinion Blue Throats are the safest, followed by cross hatch and pink tail. I know a few who have kept Nigers as well, but they eventually needed to be pulled.

Keep the fish well fed though, like any other fish, the better fed the less likely it will go tasting on things you would rather it didn't such as tank mates, snails, shrimp and/or corals.

Ive had bluethroat, pinktail and niger triggers in my tanks with only one issue....the niger. The others were model citizens.

The Sargassum trigger in my avatar is in my mixed reef. I have not had any issues with this fish. It has been in my tank for about a year.

I have a mated pair of crosshatch's in my reef and they dont bother anything including my harliquin shrimp, cleaner shrimp or small goby's etc.

Xanthicthys ringens. Been in for over a year and has been a model citizen. (LPS, SPS, inverts including shrimp)
