I currently run one Vortech on my 225 gallon tank and will be adding a second one. For those that run multiple vortechs are you running them in the same direction in sync or opposite directions anti-synch? Just curious as to the results you are having.

Thanks.

A friend of mine has 4 in his 220 and runs 4 of them 2 on each side.

I have a 156 with only one mp40, I will add another one to the opposite side. there isn't such thing as too much flow:).

One on the right front side; one on the left rear side... they make a tidy little "race track" of flow, which you can alter by changing the flow sequences in the controllers. Mine are in an 8' long 350G tank.

My tank has a ton of rock in it. Are they blowing into the rock or open water. The one I currently run in on the left side of the tank blowing in open water. Thinking of adding on the other side of the tank but my large frogspan is on that side and it received the perfect amount of flow now.

I have three on the back wall, all of them set to lagoon random, none of them synched to each other.

If your goal is to make waves, then use sync or anti-sync. If you want random flow, then let the pumps operate independently.
