I have a Yashia Goby. Can I add a second one? Do they get along in schools? If I add a pistol shrimp in the mix, will all three get along?

Thanks for your input..

I have seen pairs of Yashia gobies with one shrimp in tanks and for sale. I would say they should get along fine.

The only way it would work is to have a really big tank, or to be SURE that one is a male and one is a female. Two males will fight to the death unless the tank is big enough for each to have their own territory. I have heard of two in a big tank with one pistol that would take turns living with each goby.

How big is the tank? I would not suggest it unless the tank is 100g or bigger.

Easiest way to get two is to just buy an established pair in the first place.

Its a 75 gallon.
Im too attached to my Yashia to let him go, Or see him fight it out.
So I guess im going to have to just find hi a Pistol to pair up with.

Thanks

According to "What Fish" by Tristan Lougher, S. yasha can coexist peacefully with S. nematodes... just an idea.
