Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for some set up and filtration suggestions. I feel I have too much algae growth in the DT and too many fine particles blowing around. The extra tank is a caulerpa refugium that was disconnected because the caulerpa was dying off.
I'd like to get my stock tank off the ground (cinderblocks?), add a ball valve to it for draining, add float switches for a drip ATO. My return pump is an Eheim 1260. It's on the floor of the stock tank on the right side. The skimmer pours over some sponges which I usually have carbon and pura complete sandwhiched in between. I threw the chemical media in around the return pump so it would be totally immersed in the water instead. I was also thinking of adding a prefilter sump with baffles to catch some of the detritus? I'm using a red sea berlin classic on a sedra 15000 (If only I had an extra $5k burning a hole in my pocket!). Also wondering what everyone uses for shelving units (Say, if I wanted the refugium above the DT?)
