Has anyone heard or read anything about Hydor coming out with new Koralia models? (Koralia 1400 is equal to the K4) I saw an ad in the last Coral Mag. but cant find anything online. Any news on when they are coming out and what kind of improvements they are making.

They are coming out 1st quarter 2010. They changed the prop design, made the impeller shaftless, and the housing is a little smaller. They are also supposed to be able to be controlled with wavemakers without the typical clicking that Koralias currently do.

I actually just got an email from Hydor customer service that says they will be available late Feb.

I'm interested in purchasing two of the K4's. They look like larger versions of their current Koralia nano.

Is this with ANY wavemaker? That is great news if so!

Thank you,

Already out, called F&S to see if they were in stock, the next day they called me back to tell me they had #7's in stock and yes they were the shaftless. Petkingdom (LFS in SD) went to LA last week and got some at the wholesellers, they put them in there display tank. The only diff I seen was that the prop was all one unit, plastic from prop to magnet cylinder center.
Sorry....I don't know about the 1400 or K4? I chimed in a little to quick here, but do call Foster & Smith, they will let ya know.

A quick update, I noticed a few minutes ago that MarineDepot.com has these listed for sale. Although they may not have them quite yet.

Availability: Out of Stock: Usually ships in 2-3 business days

Even better are the current listed prices:
1400 - $57.99
1050 - $44.99
750 - $38.99

Check it out here: http://www.marinedepot.com/Hydor_Koralia_Evolution_Circulation_Pump_Powerhead_Fixed_Flow_Aquarium_Powerheads-Hydor_USA-HD00717-FIPHFF-vi.html

There is also a new article on the 1400 at reef builders.
