Power Center Question

I finally got around to cleaning up the umpteen wires, cords and plugs around the tank and built this:

I still need to tidy up the cords going into it. :)

I am hoping to install the controller, pH monitor, wireless thermometer and other gadgets on the lower half.
The pH monitor uses a 9 volt battery and the thermometer uses AAA's.

How many of you have purchased an AC adaptor instead of replacing the batteries or does it not make a difference in the grand scheme of things?
