Hello fellow reefing community,

I am looking for a replacement bulb for my Current USA Gamma 25W UV sterilizer. I was hoping someone would have a good recommendation for a source for replacement bulbs. I see they are typically $40-50 at most aquarium retailers but I bet they can be found cheaper at lighting stores that deal in larger volume and don't have the typical aquarium mark up. I found this site

http://www.atlantalightbulbs.com/ecart/10Expand.asp?ProductCode=G22T5L.4P

and that bulb (above) seems to have the identical specs of the Current USA bulb. The problem is I can't find any info from either ALB or Current about their actual UV output. Anyone have any good insight on sourcing cheaper bulbs for UV units in general? I don't mind paying for the best bulb, I just hate the thought of paying twice as much for a bulb that is identical or perhaps even worse.

Oh and feel free to expand this thread to include information regarding compatible bulbs for any UV unit. We should be able to get a comprehensive list of bulb and manufacturer compatibilities.
