its a green brancing hammer, only about 3inches out when fully expanded. kept close first day, then started to open up. now, few days later, the color is faded slightly, and it seems to be drouping, with the bare skeleton visible on top. any advice on how to make it happier. 120g wit refugium, zero nitrate and phosphates, ph calc, & alk all right on target, with 2X250 metal halide with 2 t5s, its n a lower water movement area about half way up tank. looking for advice on how to make it better

try to move it down from middle of the tank a little bit. i think MH is quite strong for them. it will need time to adjust. you have to move the coral up slowly. i have problem with my ancora right now too. i moved it to the sand bed, and maybe not enough light for it. i just move mine up higher a little bit. i only have T5 those.

I have to agree with langtudatinh01 with that strong lighting i would see how it does on the sandbed. I just got my first hammer 3 weeks ago (not the branching variety) and it took me a few placements to get the right light and flow. I have a 55g with 216w t5's and mine is doing very well on the bottom of the tank with moderate flow.
