Macro Algae in tank during cycle

I have a mermaid fan plant and is thinking of putting it my 2nd tank which is being cycle right now....would it be good or OK for the plant?

All those undesirable forms of nitrogen compounds during the cycle are actually preferred sources of N for most plants. So go ahead and put those Macro's in, they'll even help your cycle by utilizing the ammonia ;)
