Back in September my wife and I went out of town for a week.......and my kalk reactor decided THAT was the exact moment to cause trouble. Anyways, I came home to a mess, one of which was my chalice.

I bought this from ATL a year prior....

Which morphed into this......

The discoloring hasn't really changed, although new growth is almost monthly. I was wondering if anyone has brought back a chalice from the dead before.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thx.

Ime , hard coral bleach like that when alkalinity spikes in either direction or light shock. Lower it in the tank if not aready and watch the alk it should come back with feeding

What are people spot feeding chalices?

no need to feed chalices. Just place it in the shade and it'll color back up....

Ok, I'm going to move it down to the bottom, with limited par. I'll snap a pick tonight and will update this thread from time-to-time.

For the record:

My water perimeters remain fairly stable: 9-9.5dkh, 400 calcium, 1350 Mag.
