I think a yuma flew over and landed on a chalice for a night and it stun the coral really bad. This was a week or two ago. I since then moved the chalice to a different tank.
There were tissue burns and now exposed skelly.

I looked at the chalice again and it looks like one of the mouth melted away. I just did an iodine dip. Are chalices strong? Will it recover? Some of the colors faded.

I have read a few posts on here that mentioned a dip in Tropic Marin Pro Coral Cure...followed by a dip in Revive. Nobody has any scientific proof that it works for stressed, receeding chalices, but some have had success. I understand that you did the iodine dip...just sharing what I've read - no experience personally. Perhaps some who have used this method successfully will chime in. Chalices can be very resilient if parameters are good. If it continues to receed, you could try the above mentioned treatment to see if it works for ya.

I hope it comes through and heals up for you.
