so what the key you guys? I've lost 1 decent sized colony 2x3" and am loosing another 5x5 piece. whats the deal? evertything else does great.

Check alk, ca, and mag. Alk and mag especially should be high. Also keep an eye on temp and salinity. Dip in TMPCC and/or Revive, half strength for about 5 minutes each. Feed them if they'll eat, offer after dark.
