best PAR meter

Looking to get a PAR meter, any recommendations on the model or place to get one?

Most people in the hobby get apogee meters. They will run you around 300. I got mine straight from apogee.

there are better meters out there but they cost 3x and the delta in accuracy is well under the variance you will create just by manually placing the sensor.


There is a review out there somewhere between apogee and a 1000 dollar meter, and the difference was not material for our purposes.

I own and use an Apogee Par meter. I like it and would recommend it.
