I have a couple of hammers and a frogspawn in my 130 g reef.
Just this week the frogspawn polyps "detached" from the skeleton and now one of my hammers is starting to do the same.

All of my parameters for nitrate, phosphate, etc, are excellent and I have several other soft corals doing very well and thriving...

Questions are :

1) What is the optimal level of calcium for these specific species?
2) What is the best way to measure calcium accurately?

Thanks,
Mike

The target calcium level for any reef tank is 400 to 450...

Use a calcium test kit to measure it. API make a fairly easy to use kit and it is not pricey..
