View Full Version : 250w HQI and 2 36" T5s for a 29g too much?

Does that sound like too much light? Tank is 29g. L = 36", W = 12", D = 16". Mostly SPS with some LPS, zoanthids, and a clam in the bottom.

the 250w will let you keep anything you want where ever you want just keep an eye on your tank temp in the warmer months.

not sure about anything where ever he wants. It might be too much for the lps and zoa's. How high will the fixture be? If you put it high enough the corals should be ok, also you should probably not get the highest par bulb

the halide will be a small pendant hanging 1 foot above the water with t 15k bulb and the t5s will be extra and separate with an individual frame closer to the water. no chiller, just a small fan. all lights will be open to air, no hood.
