I would like to get 1 or 2 anthias but have no experience with them and wanted some opinions on whether they would get along with the other fish in my tank and with each other. I am looking at a female Lyretail and maybe a Sunburt or Bartlett. I would get small females so I could watch them change.
Will different species of Anthias get along? Will they get along with the other fish in the tank? Are the species that I am looking at "hardy"?
I have a 170 gallon bowfront (6 foot long) with a 40 gallon sump, DAS-EX 2 skimmer, Phosban 550 Reactor running Phosban and Activated Carbon, Red Sea Aquazone 200 Ozonizer (not currently hooked up, needs a new transformer).
My current stock of fish is:
1 Desjardini Sailfin Tang
1 Powder Blue Tang
1 One Spot Foxface
1 Green Mandarin
1 Dot and Dash Flasher Wrase
2 Zebra Gobies
1 Target or Spotted Mandarin
1 Black Cap Basslett
I think I can handle the extra bioload. Just want to make sure that they will all get along.
