HAHA!! yea, I told her only $2000 a piece and she said if I wanted them I could have them. Provided I sell the boat. and if they die, I dont get to replace either!

Guess I wont get the fish. Love the boat!

What kills me if they are that super rare why not leave them in the ocean to have a chance to multiply!?! I wish there were laws against harvesting a fish which has such few numbers in the wild which it must to be so rare and pricy....or it may be so high just because its a pair. Either way somebody is going to make a but load off thease 2 little fishies and I doubt it was the diver who caught them.

May not be rare in the wild, just hard to catch.

very true though if you notice things like that has happen, you cant get some things that you could have back in the 80s or if you can it costs a butt load like you said, taking things like these fish and rock and such will someday end up messing our hobby up because at some point they will make stronger laws.many of our fish arent even caught correctly anyways and shame on liveaquaria for carring them because im pretty sure if whomever buys them will most likely end up with 4,000 dollar dead fish within say 8 months max,its hard enough to even keep a moorish idel for a dang year, either way harvisting rare, low numbered creatures from our oceans IMO will end up hurting the hobby What kills me if they are that super rare why not leave them in the ocean to have a chance to multiply!?! let's all chip in and buy them...then flush them as "all drains lead to the ocean".

that or buy them, fly back to the islands and release them!

is it just me or does anyone else think these things kinda look like something that might have been pictured on a 1980's tourist t-shirt from "grams and pops trip to Hawaii"

MMMMMMMMM They look tasty.... So people have more money than sense. You got to admit though it would look pretty good watching them swim in your livingroom.

You got to admit though it would look pretty good watching them swim in your livingroom. as your tank springs a leak...cracks and breaks and you watch them on the living room floor and wish you hadnt paid $4,000 on them cause now you have to figure out a way to pay the hospital bill for the heart attack you are about to have lol

If you can afford a 4000 dollar fish I think you can afford a tank that wont crack on you. At least lets hope so. :)
I can see it now, those fish in a 30 gallon with a biowheelfilter. Sittin in a trailer with some redneck scratchin himself thinking of how much money hes gonna make when they have baby 4000 dollar fish.

I'm pretty sure we could take some plastic fins to some naso tangs and come pretty close to that for a lot cheaper. :D
