As you know, reef safe fairy and flasher wrasses tend to jump a lot. Unfortunately sometimes they can jump out of the tank and die, I've lost a few specimens in the past. That's why I decided to make this barrier:

You can buy the acrylic frame in any LFS or store where they work with acrylic, these sticks are acrylic left over. You can also buy them in stores that sell Bali Blinds or shades, as the acrylic tube is used to turn them around.

And the net just buy it in a fishing store or a netīs store doh!

You can glue it all with white glue, or silicon, and the result is a resistant and effective net that allows air exchange and light penetration, and it doesnīt look bad. No more dead wrasses:

Great job on these screens. A good alternative to the window screen frame diy that's been around for a while. I can see this working a lot better in situtauions where there's plumbing sticking up over the back of the tank. Should be much easier to "custom shape".

I used some fiber door screen for my tank. Jawfish went missing for about 7 hrs. Looked on the floor and he wasnt there. Found him in the overflow looking somewhat stressed like ok what do I do now. I may have worked to hard on mine but I did a screen across the back of the canopy and for the overflow I made a T-Pee style cover. This way its not a flat cover he could jump on top of and possible just cook under the lights. It also allowed me to keep the top of the tank very open (under the canopy) so I can work without having anything in the way.
