Bigger hole or smaller bulkhead?

I recently cracked the bulkhead on my 120 acrylic. I went to the lfs and purchased a stronger bulkhead same size. The problem is that the stronger one is just a little to big, I mean a little less than 1/8". Should I enlarge the hole or try a smaller bulkhead. This bulkhead is 1 3/4" in inside diameter I don't think that a smaller bulkhead would cause a return issue however I like the one I have. Any pointers on enlarging a preexisting hole in acrlylic 1/2" think, the right way?

i would try the smaller bulkhead before drilling.

Update, I got a grinding stone on the end of drill bit and it now fits perfectly.
