Did my Firefish rot to death ?

Hello RC, I came home today to find sad news, my beloved Firefish has just died. Like, yesterday I saw as if it were white dry skin comming from his tail. Now today he's lieing on the ground in a stoned position. Like all of his fins are sticking up and such, but if someone came in the room and froze him. His body has white lines comming out of him ? Like white veins across his body ?

What could have happened ?
I'll get a picture if needed, but it won't be as good.

Maybe a fungal infection. Hard to see without seeing the fish. Just make sure to watch your other fish for signs that they have it and don't add any new fish till you can be sure that any infection or bacteria has run its course.
