Little bastard turned aggro on me, killed my new Firefish.

For those of you who've had to catch them before, any tips? I'm reeeeeeeeeally trying to avoid tearing out all the rocks, my system isn't really set up to do that.

Cut off the top of a coke bottle just above the label and stick the funnel upside down in to the lower portion. Stick some food in it and wait. May take a few hours or so, but it worked for me.

I used a syringe attached to a length of airline tubing to squirt a little food at the opening of the bottle trap. The 6-line was so busy beating the chromis to the food, he didn't realize that he'd gone headlong into the trap. Use his aggression against him, young grasshoppah...

you can get really small barbless hooks, then go fishing with a piece of mysis if traps fail. Very effective and sounds worse for the fish than it is. I caught mystery wrasse and yellow wrasse in less than a minute when i had to get everyone out for ich related fallow tank period. No damage to either.
