I built a DIY skimmer and the airline on my pump makes an extemely loud sucking/gurgling sound, how do I fix this. any help would be greatly needed thanks, brian

you can make a silencer out of an old plastic film canister and some cotton. Drill two holes in the lid of the canister and insert/glue the airline tubing to and skimmer. Put some cotton in the canister and snap the lid on. Done.

Throw a silencer on there - you can easily make one out of a pill bottle. All you need to do is drill two holes in the lid, one that the air line fits into and another to leave open. It works much like the muffler on your car.
