how to frag a chalice

looking for some good info. on how to frag a chalice. It's on a plug, but really starting to grow fast. Anyone got some step by step instructions?

table saw, cut off wheel, band saw, anything that spins and cuts, dont use sps pliers cus it breaks up the chalice on the inside. it just destroys it. make sure the tool spins and have a person add water while u cut,

Dremel works perfect that's what I use to frag pretty much everything. Just be careful!!!

Dremels work okay. Only issue is they trasfer a lot of heat the flesh of the coral. Lots of folks frag chalices with dremels and have great success. If you're looking for the best way, take a a look at the Inland Band Saw. That's the best way to ensure that the cuts are smooth and healing is quickest. It is much more expensive but well worth the price if you're gonna frag alot. JMO...take it for what it's worth...Happy Holidays!

Does the frag needs to have an eye or just some flesh?

I used a butcher knife without issue.

I use a dremel with a diamond blade, I usually dip it in a bowl of tank water several times through the process to keep the temps low. I usually to frag mouths with them, as that's what people will look for.

Use a dremel cut from the bottom up then when your almost through snap it my hand.
